At its heart, it’s about stripping portraiture back to its purest form.
A modern revival of the early studio portrait tradition, when photographers focused on presence, light, and honesty rather than perfection.
Just one stool, one light, and one person being seen as they truly are.
Each sitter is invited to take a seat for a 20-minute session, where John photographs them as they are in that moment.
Relaxed, real, and unposed.
The resulting image is selected on the spot and delivered digitally, with an option to order a fine-art print.
YOU WILL RECEIVE ONE DIGITAL IMAGE FREE
The project also carries a spirit of giving. Every participant can choose to donate to charity, and John will also be donating 20% of any purchases each sitter makes
